Our History
Formed in 1985 Braddock PA in 1985 the community of the An-Nur Islamic Center, it’s members were an extension of Masjid Al-Amin of Pittsburgh under the leadership of Imam Mustafa Hassain. The An Nur Islamic Center is dedicated towards the establishment of Islamic life. To promote human excellence while also combating societal social ills. The An Nur Islamic Center has been very active in the Greater Pittsburgh Area community and has partnered with many community based and social groups such as The Jewish/Christian Conference, The Urban Council for Peace and Justice and with various area Masjids to develop integrated Eid Celebrations in the city of Pittsburgh.
Our Mission
An Nur Islamic Center is a religious body dedicated to establishing a model of human excellence and growth through the practice of Al-Islam.
It maintains a center for Islamic worship and education. It’s focus is Islamic study, research, learning, teaching and the establishment of a model community life. The obligation of the members is to actively strive to be mindful of what the Creator desires of them and to execute it in their daily lives. Since 1985, An Nur Islamic Center has implemented programs and social activities positively uplifting and impacting the community at-Large with Al-Islam.
